It is a good idea to fast a little before attending the Mauritian Open Air Festival. :dance :note :note
What sweet aromas! Lemonaise, and Green Chilli Lemon Zing! :glasses
With such a huge variety of food on offer, a person could do some serious eating when visiting the M.O.A.F. :hungry
Thirst-quenching 'juice' was available in some delicious flavours, and I enjoyed a selection of roti, spiced up with tasty sauces and condiments.
The Mauritian curry was delicious, and the chicken jerky just yummy. Chilled beer was also readily available and I’m sure if I had searched around a bit more, I might have found some Mauritian punch to drink. :drink

The organisers gave mzawf a very warm welcome and allowed us full access to the backstage area to record and film, as well as take pictures :notworthy :notworthy (currently in the editing suite to be released soon).

The Mauritian annual festival is currently in its fourth year, and again was a great success, providing music and dance to a lively audience, that ran into many thousands. The crowds were extremely friendly who rose to the spirit of the occasion, and, for once, the sun came out.
A funfair added to the carnival vibe as did all the food and souvenir vendors.

I travelled to Tottenham in London from Crawley, West Sussex and enjoyed a stress free journey with Southern Rail.
All for the cost of a travel card, fairly priced at little over £15.
This ticket also allows for unlimited travel on the tube networks, inclusive in the price.

Considering I was traveling on a Sunday, my journey on the tube was both speedy and comfortable (no overcrowding). It took a little over one and a half hours from start to finish arriving at Tottenham Hale, which left just a short walk from the station to Down Lane park, easy, easy!

mzawf highly recommends that The 2013 Mauritian Open Air Festival should be included in your event calendar for next summer, a great family day out.
