The day of rekoning bought only sadness at the CAT stadium, as the spiral downward continued
Here at HQ,the ongoing attempt to put a positive spin, on a naff situation, became increasingly more difficult. The end result being an unimpressive season for the devils.
Relegation to divsion two being the prize at the final
Several times in our blog, it was inferred that the club was boxing above its weight and division two was more suited to the standard of play.
Which now appears to be the case!
Clearly the rose coloured spectacles approach at the season start was just that promotion to division one'
Dean Saunders came on board to late in the game to save the day but we witnessed more positives under his leadership than we did with
Realistically, there isn't much point kicking over the coals now its al 'done and dusted' !
Going to leave that over optimistic animated giff on the index page for now so to pay homage for the hard work and efforts of the team, and all, at the checkatrade Stadim.
I bet everbody is gutted as we are here at it wasn't meant to finish this way, never mind
